Manufacturers of Spa and Pool Filters
Peter Hogg and John Turner formed Magnum Filters in 1982 after both had gained many years experience in making oil and air filters.
Like many new businesses they began manufacturing in their garage and all their initial production was purely for local market consumption.
The business has grown hugely over the years and now two factories
later is located in Lincoln Road, Henderson - a western suburb
of New Zealand's largest city - Auckland.
The business is now run by Peter Hogg and his family, following John Turners decision to sell out some years ago.
Magnum Filters still manufactures for the New Zealand market and now exports to Australia, South East Asia and the USA.
Essentially the filter market is divided into two categories.
ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MARKET [OEM]
Magnum supplies all the leading pump and filter manufacturers in New Zealand and Australia.
THE REPLACEMENT MARKET
Magnum manufactures and markets filters under it's own name and Poolstore, Waterco, Newline and Aussie Poolparts Brands.
In New Zealand, Magnum supplies direct to Spa and Pool retailers
In Australia, Magnum has a network of distributors across every state.
Magnum has grown to become market leader in Australasia by producing filters to the highest quality - a tribute to it's highly trained staff and an ongoing commitment by Peter Hogg to only utilizing the most up to date manufacturing machinery and processes.
